Each member country has its own regulatory system and rules regarding the keeping and riding of horses. Therefore, the role of the Leisure Riders’ Department within FEIF is to focus on the relationship between rider and horse. FEIF continues to provide a platform for the leisure divisions of all member countries, promoting the improvement of relationships between riders and Icelandic horses through education, ambassador activities, tours, and fun programs.

APCIR’s leisure riding activities are organized by the Ivó Icelandic Riding Center, which serves as the organization’s “hub.” The Ivó Icelandic Riding Center is located at the foot of the Székely wilderness and offers the perfect setting for outdoor riding through forests and fields, including multi-day excursions.
